Crystal studied under Master Trainer, George Daniolos of K9 Defense for 5 years. She titled her All-American Dog, Indy in AKC Rally, Obedience, Canine Good Citizen, Trick Dog and Stunt Dog. She became a detection dog handler in 2018 with Desert Drug Dog and began training working dogs the same year. Crystal became an integral part of K9 Defense running the Board and Train program, and training Obedience, Detection and Patrol.
Crystal started American K9s with the goal of reducing the dependence on other countries to provide our most valued working K9s.
If Crystal were a dog, she would be a Malinois because she is driven and works tirelessly to achieve her goals.
Angela knew she wanted to work with animals her whole life and studied dog training at Highland Academy. She started an internship at American K9s and immediately began learning new methods to add to her skills. She became a handler for American K9 Detection Services with her partner Bash. After working with her for a year, Bash was offered a promotion to work for a new partner in corrections. Angela currently works with Snitch, a Dutch Shepherd. At the end of Angela's internship, she was offered a full-time position at American K9s assisting with training and kennel management. She is currently training our working dogs in Obedience and Detection.
If Angela were a dog, she would be an Afghan Hound. Afghan Hounds are known for their beautiful long coats. They are loyal and sometimes aloof with high grooming requirements, though they have a goofy streak that is very entertaining.
Brishen attended Starmark Academy in her home state of Texas. After graduating, she began training pet dogs for a large Board and Train company and has trained over 300 dogs. Brishen accepted an internship at American K9s to explore the working dog world. She was almost immediately offered the opportunity to develop and grow the Board and Train program at American K9s. She is currently learning detection methods and training her dog, Loki on essential oils.
If Brishen were a dog, she would be a Golden Retriever. Goldens are outgoing, trustworthy and eager to please. They are serious workers, but take a joyous and playful approach to life.
